Hi! I'm the Shakespeare Geek. I love Shakespeare and love figuring out what his scripts mean. I love the emotion.
My goal: "Translate" two Shakespeare monologues a week, and summarize it HERE. It doesn't seem like a lot, but they are HARD.
Yesterday: from "A Midsummer Night's Dream", Helena's "O spite! O hell!" monologue for an audition, which inspired this.
Summary: Helena finally bursts. She was once loved by two men, but a potion changes everything. These two men now love Helena's best friend. Helena believes it's all a joke and says "If you were real men, you wouldn't do this to me."
